Hah, your frugal butt isn’t getting out of this one unscathed.
I still haven't replaced my lost ring... Spent too much on my first one.

While you’re there, you want to pick me up a Breitling Transocean Day and Date?

Skip the ring and buy the Messerschmidt instead. You can store it in the bed of the truck for safe keeping.

I lost mine rafting in Montana but my wife insisted on replacing it right away. At least the jeweler sold it to us at cost since we bought the original one there. My mom, on the other hand, lost hers in 1968 and has never replaced it.

My mom lost her original in 1990, I found it under the seat of our old Caprice Classic literally a day before it was to be traded in on a new Subaru Loyale wagon (the Subaru dealer had already presold it to a taxi company in New York). She lost it permanently a few years after, easy come, easy go.
